Serving in the army as a doctor is something that may be on your mind. Below we’ve listed the age guidelines. PLEASE NOTE: If you are married, have kid(s). AND are over the age of 30, you are exempt from serving in the army. You must fit all three criteria in order to receive the exemption.

PLEASE NOTE: Female physicians who are married or are single mothers are exempt from service.
Disclaimer – the final decision regarding your eligibility to draft into the IDF will be determined by the IDF only. Decisions are made based on many factors, including level of professional Hebrew.
